Are Dinosaur Movies Back?
There is such a lack of good adventure sci-fi lately, in my opinion, so this already has my attention. I am only moderately excited for now, but the premise is strong: it looks like a catastrophic event drops an entire neighborhood into another dimension or timeline, where creatures of unknown origin are waiting. That’s a fun setup, and one that immediately makes me curious.
It also looks like the film understands that survival is what will make this work. Centering it on a family gives all the chaos something human to hold onto, and the cast seems solid. I am hoping the final special effects are decent, because if they are, this could be a genuinely good time at the movies.

Obsessed with Obsession
I am already a little obsessed with this film. I have watched the trailer several times now, and each time it pulls me in even more. It’s the kind of setup that immediately opens up so many possible directions, and that sense of possibility is exactly what makes it so exciting to me. I love stories like this, where the premise is strong enough to let your imagination start doing its own work before the film has even begun. In this case, mine is definitely going to places I am not entirely comfortable with, which feels like a very good sign.
Most of us have experienced love in one form or another, and maybe even the kind of love that distorts you a little, the kind that makes you act unlike yourself. That’s part of why this already feels so compelling. It seems interested in the darker, stranger emotional depths of that experience, and I can already imagine how far it could go. The early reviews have been great, which only adds to my anticipation, and the excitement around it feels a little reminiscent of The Substance. The main actress also looks fantastic here - there’s something intense and emotionally exposed in what the trailer suggests, and that only makes me more eager to see the full film.
